Exercise machines are the classic one — enormously heavy, impossible to move alone, and almost always upstairs or in a basement. That is not a problem: I carry them out from wherever they are, stairs and elevators included. Mowers, power tools, hand tools, bikes, scooters and outdoor equipment come with me too.
This is the category where re-homing does the most good. A working mower or a decent bike has real life left in it, and it is a better outcome than scrapping it. Tell me what still runs when you call.
Anything genuinely beyond use gets broken down, with the metal going to recycling.
