Most furniture calls are one of three things: a single heavy item two people can't manage, a room's worth after a move-out, or a garage that has slowly become a furniture graveyard. All three are the same job to me — I bring the truck and do the loading, and none of it needs to be at the curb first. Upstairs, downstairs, out of a back bedroom: I'll carry it out.
Pricing is by the cubic yard rather than per item, with a $165 minimum on any job. Because every trip carries that minimum, it is usually worth clearing everything in one go rather than doing it piece by piece.
Furniture is also where donating first actually counts. A sofa in decent shape does not need to become landfill, and it is worth the extra stop to make sure it doesn't — usable pieces go to Goodwill, to hospice donation programs, sometimes to a local domestic violence support program, or by referral to a household that needs them.
