Cleanouts are where the pricing works hardest in your favour. You pay by the cubic yard for the space it takes up in the trailer, not per item, and every job carries a $165 minimum — so clearing the entire garage in one visit costs far less than chipping away at it over several.
You do not need to stage anything outside first. I work through it where it sits, including upstairs rooms, basements and storage units, and I handle the sorting at my end. Clothing and household goods still worth using go to Goodwill, to hospice donation programs or sometimes to a local domestic violence support program; cardboard and metal go to recycling; and only what is genuinely spent ends up at the transfer station.
