Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ATS Junk Removal does with personal information — what gets collected when you call, text or use this website, what it is used for, and what control you have over it. ATS is a one-person hauling business, so the short version is: I collect what I need to quote and do your job, I use it for that, and I do not sell it to anybody.
1. Who this covers
ATS Junk Removal, an owner-operated business in El Dorado County, California, serving El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento and Amador counties. This policy covers this website and the phone, text and email contact that goes with it.
2. What I collect
What you give me. Your name, phone number, and email address if you use one. The address or town where the job is. A description of what needs removing, and any photos you send. The content of calls, texts and messages about your job.
What the website collects on its own. Standard web traffic information handled by the hosting provider and, where enabled, an analytics service: which pages were visited, roughly where the visit came from based on network address, the browser and device type, and the site or search that referred you. This is aggregate traffic data. It is not used to identify you personally, and it is not matched to your job record.
Cookies. The site uses the small number of cookies its hosting platform sets to make pages work and to count visits. It does not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies; the site will still work.
3. What it is used for
To price your job, schedule it, get to the right address and do the work. To contact you about that job. To keep ordinary business records, including for tax and insurance purposes. To understand which parts of this website people actually use, so it can be made more useful.
That is the whole list. Your information is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not used for advertising.
4. Photos you send
Photos you send in order to get a quote are used to price and plan the job, and are kept with the job record. They are not published anywhere without asking you first. Photographs I take of the work itself are covered separately in the Terms of Service, including how to ask for something to be taken down.
5. Calls and text messages
If you call or text (530) 303-7320, your number and the content of the conversation are stored on my phone and pass through the mobile network in the ordinary way. Texting me about a job means I will text you back about that job. Standard message and data rates from your carrier apply. If you would rather not receive texts, say so or reply STOP and I will call instead.
6. Who else sees it
I do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and I never will. No customer list is shared with marketers, lead brokers or anyone else.
Information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the business — the company that hosts this website, an analytics provider where used, the mobile carrier, and payment or accounting services where relevant — and each only gets what it needs to do its part. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Donation and recycling partners receive the items from your job. They do not receive your name, address or contact details.
7. How long it is kept
Job records and the messages that go with them are kept while they are needed for the job and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting and insurance obligations require. Quote enquiries that never turn into a job are not kept indefinitely. If you want your information deleted sooner, ask, and I will delete whatever I am not legally required to hold on to.
8. Keeping it safe
Reasonable steps are taken to protect the information I hold, including keeping it on a small number of password-protected devices and accounts. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and I cannot promise absolute security — but the amount of information involved is deliberately small.
9. Your privacy rights
California residents have a set of privacy rights under state law, including the right to know what personal information a business holds about them, the right to have it corrected, the right to have it deleted, and the right not to be treated worse for asking.
Some of those rights formally apply only to businesses above certain size thresholds, and ATS is a small owner-operated business that is almost certainly below them. Rather than argue about that: I will honour requests of this kind regardless of whether the law strictly requires it.

To protect your information I will need to confirm you are who you say you are, which usually just means matching the phone number or job details already on file. There is no charge, and asking will never affect the service or the price you get.
There is no sale or sharing of personal information to opt out of, and no sensitive personal information is collected for the purposes that trigger a right to limit its use. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, there is nothing for it to switch off here.
10. Children
This website is aimed at people arranging junk removal for a household or business, not at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, contact me and I will delete it.
11. Links to other sites
This site may link to other places — a Google Business Profile, a donation partner, a county waste facility. Once you follow a link you are on somebody else's site, under their privacy policy, not this one.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version always sits on this page, with the date it was last changed shown at the top. Material changes will be made clear rather than slipped in quietly.
